I’m using Stitch Nation’s “Full o’ Sheep” peruvian wool. I found it while yarn shopping with the momma. It comes in so many pretty colors, I even picked it up in a hot pink!  Haven’t’ decided what I’m going to use it for yet.

Hopefully I can finish this by Sunday evening and squeeze some sewing in. The shop’s looking quite sad

Needles: US11

Yarn: Lion Brand’s Wool-Ease (a little over 1 skein, double stranded)

Mods: I worked this double stranded and did 18 repeats + 2 rows of seed stitch before the button holes.

What is this madness?  Wool and the Gang’s Peruvian Wool Vest kit is being sold on Net-A-Porter for $140. I can’t imagine someone buying this–people who already know how to knit could (and probably will) easily make up their own version (or better yet, a nicer one), and those who can’t wouldn’t be silly enough to purchase this kit for their first project…right?

Now I’m wondering if the “Try it on at home.  If it doesn’t fit, return shipping is free.” policy still applies.

Pretty rad, right? It even matches my bangle! I had some extra time to kill today so sewed up a few grocery bags and this zipper pouch. I don’t know what I’m going to use it for yet, but I’m excited!

I didn’t mind the bigger bow, but the band was epically long. I think I changed it to 90 chains total, and the ends are closed with 6SC instead of 30.

We didn’t get a chance to try everything, but  we did sample Buttermilk’s red velvet chocolate chip pancake bites and Kabob N’ Roll falafels! Nabbed myself a brownie and a chocolate chip cookie, too.

Hopefully it will happen again some time soon! I really wanted to hit the grilled cheese truck but the line for this was easily a two hour wait. I heard they have a grilled macaroni and cheese sandwich?

And I’ve finally come to the conclusion that I am not a neat crafter.

My Hemlock Ring Blanket has finally been blocked, but I’m not quite satisfied with the dry cleaner’s steam job so I’m going to attack it this weekend…but only if it stops raining long enough for me to purchase some blocking pins! I tried with regular sewing pins before but they didn’t really cut it. I’ll post a better picture of the entire blanket in all it’s glory when it doesn’t look so tragic.

I absolutely love knuckle dusters, knuckle rings, multi-finger rings, or whatever it is they’re being called nowadays. Couldn’t find too many epic ones on etsy, but here are the ones I definitely wouldn’t mind wearing.

These are kind of different–not one ring, but a set. They look like one though! Plus, they’re just too awesome to not include.

And I guess upon further reflection the second ring doesn’t really count as a multi-finger ring, but it does go over multiple knuckles! I’m sure it has the same injury-inflicting powers as the others though, so in it goes.
